A Summer of Gypsy Jazz at Saint-Jacques d’Albas

On July 10, 2025, at 6:30 PM, the Saint-Jacques d’Albas estate is delighted to welcome an exceptional trio for an evening of gypsy jazz, musical freedom, and improvisation. Get ready for a musical journey inspired by the legacy of Django Reinhardt, reinterpreting iconic French songs—from Piaf to Brassens—alongside original compositions.

A Close-Knit and Inspired Trio

The Gypsy Jazz Session ensemble was born from a powerful musical connection between Rudy Rabuffetti and Jérôme Brajtman, who met in 2015 during a jam session in Foix. Their bond quickly deepened through a shared love of manouche jazz, guitar craftsmanship, and the art of improvisation. Rudy, a descendant of Django Reinhardt’s family, introduced Jérôme to the signature “pompe” rhythm and the mindset of gypsy jazz. In turn, Jérôme brought his classical guitar background, impressionist harmonies, and global influences—ranging from Indian to African music—to their collaboration.Completing the trio, Yoann on double bass brings depth and elegance. He regularly performs with Jérôme in various projects, grounding their music with lyrical swing and rhythmic finesse.
